I prefer One Piece over Fairy Tail

@takashichea: i heard a story that oda already has the next story arc for the manga completed already. hes like the complete opposite of shouji sato who goes on long term hiatuses.

I really do dislike people saying Fairy Tail is a rip off of One Piece, I still don't see it. Luffy is different from Natsu if you dig deep

Also One Piece will end way after Fairy Tail, Oda say it at the half way point

any real progress on Luffy and the crew's dreams.

Well, there was real progress on Robin, Chopper, Zoro, Usopp and Nami dreams after the time skip

I would have put Gray with Sanji instead of Zoro and I would put Erza with Zoro

No, not even close to Hajime no Ippo (not anime) or Case Closed yet (there are more that out run One Piece)

Oda just want to tell his story, that why I like him :)

@Destinyheroknight: i can't imagine watching over 1000 episodes in a single anime

same here oda is one of the best story tellers and character creators for mangas/animes and in fiction.

i thought this was gonna be another how one piece git ripped by hiro mishima threads...glad to see something different.

as for my preference,there is no contest....i have and always will be a one piece fan for life,

as for fairy tail....i watched it when i finished my one piece marathon and caught up to the latest episode....it was really interesting until i came upto tenrou island arc....the story wasnt as intersting to me anymore and the fun was not present as it was in the initial arcs,it was getting predictable and constant friendship speeches from lucy were getting annoying.

like OP,i too plan on going back to watch one piece one day but that might be unlikely...

Sanji and Gray

Both have lost there parents

Both have rivals (Sanji/Zoro and Gray/Natsu)

Both have tragic childhood (shipwreck and destroy village)

Both are pervert (Sanji from woman lust and Gray from taking his clothes)

Both have switch bodies with a girl before :)

Zoro and Erza

Both seemly haven't seen there parents

Lost someone important to them (Rob and Kuina)

Both find someone who look like there childhood friend (Siegrain and Tashigi)

Both use swords

Both are the strongest in there team or crew

Both are serious most of the time

to all people that are saying that one piece episode count is too high.....Good News!

recently one piece anime has had several special and films made that shorten whole arcs and make them summarized so to spare people to watch the whole arcs!

i think that is a good plan and should be continued in the future!!
