Heard about the latest anime but don't know where to watch it? Then you're in luck! Here you will find all the current anime shows on the net, from legal providers. Good, honest, proper anime streaming.

Want older anime? Try the following sites:

International - CrunchyrollYouTube NicoNico

US only - FUNimationAnime NetworkHulu

THIS LIST IS CURRENTLY A WORK-IN-PROGRESS! Post links to current shows missing from the list and I'll add them in! I'll pin this topic later.

NEVER LINK TO ILLEGAL ANIME SITES HERE ON ANIME VICE, thanks!

  • All shows in this list are currently airing.
  • All* - The site has the rights to all the episodes, but they aren't all currently available.
  • Free* - Shows are behind by a week or less. On Crunchyroll, subscribers can watch the newest episode.
  • While some shows have a dub available, the dub will be many episodes behind the sub.

Guilty Crown at Funimation, NicoNico, and Hulu.

@takashichea: Thanks, I just looked up NicoNico on wikipedia, looks like it's a legit site, but it requires a subscription fee to watch any videos on it. Unless it has shows you can't find anywhere else I think I'll keep it off our list.

Oh wow this is really helpful.

@Newten: Funimation has Soul Eater(fully subbed, but not fully dubbed) on Youtube..

I uh, I am bad at finding playlists, but I watched it so I know it's there. >.>

@Lil_Cal: Thanks, but this thread is just for current anime, not anime that's finished airing (originally this thread was going to index everything, until I realised the list would get stupid-long and would be a nightmare to manage).

@Newten: Oh whoops sorry. :X

@Lil_Cal: No worries, easy mistake. Always make sure you read the original post in a thread so you know what it's about.

@Newten: Man I'm reading over my Drunk Blog for Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi and I just sound like a crazy person.

@ZombiePie: Excellent. Now you have to post it.

Hrm, I've been watching new episodes of Fate Zero on Nico Nico all season without a subscription fee. Confusing...

(BTW those Fate Zero episodes are only, I want to say an hour, after the japanese broadcast.

@AgentJ: Huh, guess I got the wrong impression from the wikipedia article. Still, unless it has some exclusive anime on there I'll leave it out. There's something a little off about the site in general.

Yeah a bunch of shows these days come out over here super fast. The wonders of technology!

It has been done (but not that blog in particular).
Also warn people that creating a NicoNico account is the leading cause in becoming a Touhou Project pervert.

I can agree that the site is a little odd. i cannot for the life of me figure out how to view the videos in full screen. When I try, there's some japanese text there that I can "read" as in translating the characters to their English counterparts, but have no idea what the resulting words mean.

@ReplicaRex: I'm a subscriber so I'm not sure. I know that they have them in before the show starts though. I'd imagine they'd add one in the middle where the anime breaks for Japanese commercials. I can't imagine them not taking an opportunity to show an ad, especially when it's already built in to the episode.

@ReplicaRex: Yeah I think it's like sickVisionz said. Best way to know for sure is to try an episode and find out.

Question: Should Netflix be included or not even though it's also a legal streaming service?

@Bigheart711: Yeah absolutely, I hadn't thought of Netflix.

Someone made an unofficial "master list" of all anime that is available online for free. The original poster tries to keep it up-to-date.

@ReplicaRex said:

@Newten: Does Crunchyroll have commercials built in the middle like Hulu does?

For some reason whenever I watch videos on Firefox, it never plays in-video advertisements. But when I play the same videos in Chrome, the in-video advertisements play. I have Adblock Plus on both, so I really don't know what difference causes this.

As a result I've made it a habit to only watch anime using Firefox. I don't know if this will work for you, but maybe try it out?

I'm interested to know if this happens with anyone else, as well.

@AURON570: Thanks, that master list should come in handy.
