Crossposting from Giant Bomb, as this is probably relevant to AV interests as well.

Straight out of an exclusive interview with Japanese gaming magazine Gemaga, when asked what his goals for 2012 are, Blazblue producer Toshimichi Mori responded that he wants to make Blazblue 3.

Immediately after revealing his desire to make the next game, Mori added that he wants to make an anime as well. While it seems he's half joking and half serious, he then went on to request that studios please contact him.

Considering there's already a manga version of the story out, and well-known visual novel studio nitroplus has been working on new/updated cutscenes for BBCSEX, it figures that an anime would be the next step. If this does pan out, what are the odds that we'd see an anime version in the works (if not released) by the end of 2012? I would give Mori all my money if this were true.

On another note: Yes! There will finally be a sequel to Continuum Shift instead of these various patches and updates!

An anime for Blazblue would be pretty cool. I hope BB3 turns out to be good too.
