Names

Is the name of a person, character, anime or any other page in the database wrong? Let us know and a mod or staff member will fix it.

How to request a name change:

  • A link to the wiki page
  • The proposed new name
  • A short reason for the change
  • Also please specify if the old name should become an alias

Aliases

Aliases allow users to find characters, people and other useful pages under a different name or a commonly used acronym.

For example: Dragon Ball Z has the following aliases:

Dragonball Z

DBZ

So if you want to get to the Dragon Ball Z page, you can simply type DBZ in the search bar and voila! Simple right?

Aliases help everyone get to the right page in the fastest way possible. At the same time, we don't want to over-flood the database with unnecessary or confusing aliases as it only makes things harder for everyone else. So please give it some thought before requesting one.

How to request an alias:

  • A link to the wiki page
  • The proposed alias
  • A short reason for the change

If the change is reasonable, we will go ahead and make it ASAP. Stay frosty :)

@nVision: Done, a few of those names you had the Japanese way and a few English so I had to look the names up to make sure I was getting them right. Remember, in English we put the first name then surname/family name, in Japanese they do it the other way around. Just something to remember next time, thanks :)

Because I can't do it myself...HSotD's Episode 1's placeholder title should be re-named "Spring of the Dead."

-The change should occur since users may confuse it with the actual OVA series (like I did) and according to sources and other websites, it should be spelt out as such since it is the film.

High School of the Dead
- The name of the page should be changed to "Highschool of the Dead" where high school is one word.  
- The reason this change needs to occur is because the original title/wording of the series has High school as one word. I made the mistake earlier of making a page without knowing of the previous due to the typo and it will help accordingly.

Reina Lute is supposed to be Ryner Lute. I think it was originally spelled Reina because we had no direct translation, but this is what I picked up from the Funimation subs.

Anime Vice policy is to favor the US translated names. It's why that segment has a little American flag next to it. There is a special segment in each profile for the character's Japanese names. The problem is that those section's aren't linked to the search engine. 
 
By putting the Japanese names in the "alias" section, that makes them show up in searches for the site.
