Hello there curious forum-goer! Let me ask you something: do you enjoy anime, sunshine, swimsuits and the occasional heated game of volleyball? ...Yes? Great!
Welcome to one of my dumbest ideas yet; an archive of potentially every anime episode ever that takes place entirely (or just partly) on a beach.
Wait, What?
Why am I doing this you ask? Because while browsing the wiki, I found the beach page was almost completely empty. So, I had the ingenious idea of filling it with a list of anime episodes featuring beaches. Problem solved! Unfortunately, two new problems soon presented themselves. Firstly, it's hard to track down every beach episode by myself, and secondly... the beach wiki page started getting really long. Add on top of that the fact that I like bringing the wiki and forums closer together and I'm always up for encouraging more activity, and this thread was born.
This is Dumb!
Sure, a list of beach episodes is kind of dumb. However, this archive format I've come up with isn't, and could be used for many other things. Change the subject to Halloween episodes for example, which would be very relevant right now. Maybe I'll post a thread for that soon, consider this a test if you like. As well as Halloween episodes, I'm also considering archive threads for: Christmas episodes, festival episodes and hot spring episodes. If you have ideas for others, let me know.
Won't the Archive Get Super Long?!
Yeah, probably! Don't worry, I have a few ideas to deal with that if I feel it becomes necessary. For now though, this list getting crazy-long will only add to the ludicrousity of the whole thing, so I'm all for it. That's not a real word.
What About the Wiki Page?
The four most recent episodes will still be listed there, with a link leading to the full archive here.
Okay! Let Me Help!
What's that you say? You'd love to help out with this silly idea? Fantastic! All you need to do is find more beach episodes in the wiki (avoid anime that is set on a beach constantly, that doesn't count) and make sure the page has some screen cap images I can use for the archive, that's all there is to it. Post a link to the episode in this thread for me.
I mean, heck, why not?
