To those DBZ Debaters who thinks that the speed is based on ki..

It is not based on ki, why? because

That Namek saga GOKU traveled the namekian planet in 0.5 seconds, then does the VIDEO above show gohan SSJ2 Traveling planet SPEED to you??? not to mention gohan SSJ2 is a few hundreds of thousands times stronger than Namekian Goku.

This is not a battle first off. Secondly, what do you mean by traveling speed? If you mean flight speed then Gohan explained that flight was Ki-based to Goten and Videl so that contradicts your whole argument.

To be fair, you just showing the anime. It might be different in the manga

Also there speed does go by how much KI they have

@SpeedForceSpider: Words does not show actions, If namek saga goku traveled a planet in a split second, gohan SSJ2 who's ki is 1000000x bigger should have been able to cross the earth less than a milisecond.

@Destinyheroknight: He also gets owned in the manga, end of story. Also, in the anime he traveled it less than 30 seconds, the arguement is still valid because gohan has 10000000x more ki.

While I agree that speed is not directly proportional to ki, it is a fact that generally the higher your ki the higher your speed.

There may be exceptions when PLs are quite close i.e. Burter and Recoome/Jeice or Piccolo and 2nd Form Frieza (Piccolo usually states things like "You may be stronger than me but not faster" but generally the above statement stands.

Having said that the argument you made isn't great. It's just a fact that after Frieza saga a lot of the stuff in DBZ didn't make sense because lets be honest by the late Buu saga, even the collision of fists between Mystic Gohan and Super Buu should have been strong enough to destroy a large portion of the Earth and they all should have been well beyond Light Speed.

@eddz99: You can't use feats from other characters to try and prove a point for another. That is just WIS because he ignored or forgot past info on a character.

@eddz99: WIS is when the writer either knows nothing of a character, ignores past info on the character, or likes a different character more. Basically AT showed feats for characters in earlier sagas, that he most likely forgot about or ignored so he didn't use them later on.

Yeah, the anime have a fight going for five episodes. But it was only meant to be a fifteen second fight, the anime isn't a good sorce

@SpeedForceSpider: If that's then gotenks SSJ1 traveled the earth in seconds while Buu was still not able to travel the planet in seconds as it shows in the video..

FAT BUU> GOTENKS SSJ1 if i'm correct.

1. I this if from the anime. Anime is not canon. They also stated 10 20 minute episodes happened in 5 minutes. But i'm glad you're on top of things.

You mean besides the fact that you're an idiot? Gee guys, what do scans of Goku stating doubling his KI doubled his speed, possibly have to do with this thread? I dont know eddz99. I'll have to think about it, and get back to you.

Kai-O-Ken is said to be linear increase in speed, power.

Goku at over 8000 (Mach 30)

Goku goes Kai-o-ken X2 (OVER 16,000) and begins pummeling Vegeta who is not fully powered up (Mach 60)

Vegeta goes to Full power of 18,000 and begins blitzing goku even though he is Mach 60.

From looking at the series as a whole,their is strong suggestion between power level and speed, but this does not mean that if two people have the same power level they would have the same speed, one can be slightly faster than the other. Goku for the very least has low relativistic travel speed by Namek, even if you low ball it.

Umm, speed is KI. Sorry, but it is. More cases to prove this right than wrong.

Vegeta: "For an instant, his speed and power multiplied!" (Talking about Goku Kaioken x2)

Super Saiyan is a 50x increase, so..

Not to mention Goku taking months to travel snake way and then afterwards traveling it over a day.
