No More Heroes an anime/manga?

I add Beam Katana as an object to characters all the time, the editor who I suppose first added it states it as a weapon from No More Heroes... I thought OK it appeared in things long before that but.... Why is No More Heroes a franchise on Anime Vice? Even the franchise page only mentions the two video games with no anime/manga/movies attached.... If there are none this should be deleted. 
 
EDIT: also Rapelay while we are at it on things more meant for Giant Bomb

I'm surprised this doesn't count but Ben 10 (which is zero percent Japanese and isn't even stylistically like anime) and super sentai shows (which aren't even animated) count.
