Nice one and thanks for picking my question.

One idea I have is for Bleach to be remade by the woman that writes Nana. Hell, not even remade, completely changed. It would be a josei romance that was redone as a love-triangle, melodrama, heartbreak hotel fiesta.

Ichigo is in triangle with Inoue and Rukia and feels guilty about playing both of them, but is torn apart on the inside because he has legitimate feelings for both of them. Inoue has always loved Ichigo but she begins to have feelings for their old college pal Ishida as well and is torn between the two. Rukia (in perhaps the best of all) is only pretending to love Ichigo in order to mask her love of Byakuya, her sister's husband. Renji, one of Ichigo's friends from work, secretly loves Rukia but struggles to put his friendship with Ichigo above his feelings for her. Hinamori, the daughter of Genryusai who is the CEO of another company, is madly in love with Aizen, a middle manager at the same company who is only using her to advance his career. One of his employees, Hitsugaya loves Hinamori but is desperately trying to put his feelings for her aside in order to advance his career as well.

All the characters from the show would show up but they'd be people aged like 20-34 with all of these intertwined social, romantic, and professional relationships just trying to make it as young urban professionals in modern day Japan. Events happen, couples break up, new ones form, and people get fired, folk lose their jobs, and life is all around crazy in a nice josei way.

Youtube always makes that chant at the end seem like you guys are scientist on the verge of some profound discovery but you have really poor language skills that stop you from communicating it well.

So it'd be kind of like that EVANGELION "alternate reality" manga where they all just normal kids getting into shenanigans at a normal high school? Interesting.

@No_name_here: I'm not familiar with the series but if it's how I'd imagine it is, it's probably a pretty jokey harem comedy. Nana is fairly serious with it's approach. Nobody accidentally falls and lands with their hands on boobs and stuff like that.
