Growing flowers in a brain? Oh, MPD Psycho...
Among the launch titles? Two of the Tomie film series based on Junji Ito's manga (released by Dark Horse) about a girl named Tomie who is something like a living embodiment of all of humankind's weaknesses: jealousy, lust, etc. In each film, she handles yet another weak human being whose sins she represents.
Aaaand the first half of the six-episode live-action miniseries based on MPD Psycho, also a Dark Horse manga release, which I'm terribly excited about-- and I'm not even into horror and stuff. MPD Psycho is written by Eiji Otsuka (who also wries the Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service) and drawn by Shou Tajima who has done work in Range Murata's Robot series.
Most of the live-action stuff hasn't appealed to me a lot, but both of these sound pretty cool. And again, I really, really am not into horror as a general rule. What say you, Vice?
