Conventions

I go to school on the east coast, but going home to LA for anime expo this summer.

just Anime North for me

I skipped Sakuracon this year (no money/no good artists) but I'll be at Penny Arcade Expo in September.

Yeah, it's totally worthwhile, though it seems increasingly run by Funimation, who puts a lot of money into it or something. Most of the guests are Funi, and the gift bags are always full of Funi ads and "demos". The theaters show mostly Funimation stuff. Its not necessarily a horrible thing, but theres definitely times where I wish there was a bit more variety.   
 
The cosplayers are always great though. The pictures you get at freeway park are, for lack of a better word, EPIC.
