Which is superior in your own opinion and which would you choose to battle the other...
I would go with Benihime, even though we've yet to see it's bankai it seems to offer more versatility in terms of attack and defense.

Exactly what the above post stated. Benihime appears to be a very versatile zanpakutou, probably the most versatile so far versus zangetsu that has few abilities. It's bankai is probably something crazy like copying the abilities it encounters. Just a guess though.
definately benehime. benehime has a lot of moves (as already stated) like a shield, beam-like, and a net that traps the enemy and explodes. getsuga tencho doesnt compare, and with the right amt of speed, you can match zangetsus bankai, like plenty of ichigo's opponents do just because theyre fast. compare ichigos speed to like grimmjow, and theyre just equal. so the bankai doesnt even make ichigo that much faster than a strong opponent. plus we havent seen benehimes bankai, its probably something beast
