@SpeedForceSpider: then ill go with luffy, he is far stronger physically and he is also faster while Spiderman's advantage lies in his intellect given enough time spiderman could potenially win but in a random encounter id go with Luffy for both scenarios

Luffy make from rubber, brute force don't effect Luffy (Hulk level can, but not Spider-man)

And nothing Spider-man have can really hurt Luffy

Id say Luffy wins pre time skip but post time skip crushes him. Despite being way stronger in every physical aspect, I could say that pre time skip might be challenged due to Spidey's spider sense. But post time skip would have no problem since kenbunshoku haki is basically a better version of that. Post time skip Luffy is basically Spidey x10. Only real difference is Spidey's web and Luffy 's elasticity.

@taichokage: Maybe Post Time Skip is too much but I believe Spidey can beat pre time skip. He'd be helpless when he starts webbing him.

@SpeedForceSpider: luffy would dodge the webs easily, he's been dodging bullets since chapter 1, make it a weaker luffy or give spiderman a few minutes of prep

Spiderman is strong and fast (around supersonic), he also has precognition with his spider-sense, but he's outmatched here physically.

If Spidey can web up Luffy he can incapacitate him (that webbing can hold guys like the Thing and Iron Man down). The problem is Luffy is stronger, has his own precognition with his Haki (post time-skip), can tank any of Spidey's punches/kicks, and is faster by a good margin.

So, Luffy likely wins in both scenarios.

If you said he has been dodging bullets since chapter 1 it would be illogical to make Luffy weaker SMH.

This isn't spite just a mismatch.

The folks on comicvine didn't see this as spite or anything. This is disappointing see all these Luffy fanboys.
