Kimbley overall but Gambit is the better fighter.

Kimblee is limited to close contact with his explosive alchemy if he doesn't have a Philosopher's Stone while Gambit has plenty of kinetically-charged cards to toss at the guy. In close-range combat, Remy's kinetic abilities enhance his agility and dexterity to superhuman levels and he can charge the kinetic energy in a person's brain to provide Remy subtle influence over their mind. So long story short for close range:

Superhuman Evasion + Charging Kimblee's brain + Charging up Kimblee while under influence = Exploding Kimblee

now what gambit are we talking about, is this where he was sent back and met sinister if so then gambit can beat kimblee in what ever few seconds that kimblee has left.

@tylerwight: not with the omnicharge , only with the air to poison conversion

Well, Gambit can't charge organic material, while Kimblee can't McSplode whatever he likes... but Gambit is, hands down, the better fighter.

Though, its worth noting that Kimblee can use alchemy, he just prefers exploding things. I think that is what will give him the come from behind victory in either the close combat or the mid-range. For whatever reason I think Gambit takes long range.

well after gambit visits mr. sinister a second time he gets a limiter removed so he can be at his full mutation, gambit is then able to look at things and kinetically charge both non organics and organics from a distance but other than that kimblee might be able to take gambit if he surprises him

@tylerwight: That ability is off as state in the OP

he can only do
  • The classic
  • Air poison

@Nerx: I'm so out of touch with some of modern marvel, gambit having air poison is a new one to me. Was that when he became death or something?
Post by Nerx (13,843 posts) See mini bio Level 12
@John_Martone: Yeah after sinister and then he settled with apocalypse...

but that ability is unfair , if that is being put then l will have to arm kimbley with the stone

Gambit loses except in h2h

i dont ever remember gambit ever getting air poison, but i do recall the fact that he got his limiter removed by Mr. sinister giving him full capability of his mutant power.  thus he can kenetically charge organics and nonorganics from just looking at them.
