Not sure it has a specific name, but the shield seems to allow Pierrot to survive incoming bullet fire and explosions as shown when he survived the explosion with those explosive barrels. He was even able to inflict damage and survive attacks from Faye's Red Tail. But it seems he's not completely invincible as later in said same episode, Pierrot took a knife to the leg from Spike and got crushed by a giant robotic teddy bear. It's debateable if Pierrot's shield can hold up to Angel Arm fire, but his ability to fly around freely would make it tough for Vash to land any shots on him.
