King Cold don't have the power to destroy him with punches, he tanked hits from SSJ Vegeta who was >SSJ Trunks at that time, and 19 can absorb ki attacks. KC would probably shoot some ki until he figured out why his beams didn't hurt him.

Cold has been stated to be more powerful than both Frieza and Cooler's final forms in just his second form so maybe if Cold transformed a few stages he could beat him, but the state he has always shown isn't enough.

Cold is stronger but he is not smart enough to notice ki absorbtion in time.
