My brother thinks that Itachi could beat Gladiator, in my opinion i think gladiator stomps Itachi in the dirt. I just need your opinion on the situation. please give feedback.

@Haofan123: yeah i know all of his  feats its just that my brother doesn't think he can win with those feats. It's just he has really bad judgement when it come down to it. I think he just wants his favorite character to win.

Starting 1 mile apart means Itachi loses for sure.   He'd be in range of an attack from Gladiator that would instantly kill him even if Itachi's ultimate defense were fully active at the start, but well out of range of Itachi's attacks.

Starting 10 meters apart, Itachi has one and only one chance-- win via genjutsu.  And he'd have to get it off before Gladiator makes a move.  AFAIK, Gladiator is vulnerable to mind effects.  Gladiator has resistance, though, so even this might not work.

Gladiator can travel at the speed of light, his reaction speed I would put just under the speed of light though. However he did own Vulcan, so Itachi is no problem what so ever.

Gladiators performance & abilities are heavily influenced by his confidence. 
Play mind tricks and you have a shot. 
 
That being said, Gladiator would still win against the likes of Itachi.

Why does it matter? The power gap is way too big, and he has a high combat speed anyway.

The reason I asked what his consistent combat speed was because comic characters are very inconsistent, one minute superman is blitzing flash the next he's getting tagged by gorilla grod.  
 
We can't take one and ignore the other, that's why I asked for his consistent combat speed. 
 
@Shin So depending on his confident level he gets stronger or weaker?

Thats 100% correct. 
 
If he is beating an opponent he will only get more confidence, thus stronger. 
If he is losing against an opponent or his mind gets manipulated by opponent and he loses confidence, he becomes weaker.

I see Itachi could always put him a genjutsu to lower his self esteem, but if he really is light speed in combat as you people say then he takes this fight casually.

Itachi could do just that, if the speed was equal in the scenario.  Against a light speed opponent Itachi stands no chance of winning.
