the circle is all around attack, physical attack, so no not really, the bugs can do nothing to someone in a mirror

@rein:
i suppose he got speed blitzed by rock lee

wins against, Kiba, Shino and Shikamaru. The rest I feel would beat him.

Haku wins against al of them except for Gaara (because it's a really bad match up for Haku, since none of his attacks could pierce Gaara's sand) and Lee if he uses his gates. The rest of them lose (Neji, Naruto with Kyuubi chakra and Sasuke would put up a good fight though), due to the fact that Haku was stated to have been Jounin-level.

Kiba- Haku has the better speed so Kiba gets owned.

Shino- Shino's bugs could give Haku some problems for this match, especially if the bug master's able to figure out how Haku's fighting style works as he's one of the smartest of the Genin. But with Shino being largely dependent on his bugs for battle, Haku should have the edge in this battle for having more flexibility in battle tactics.

Shikamaru- While one of the smartest Genin, his shadow attacks can only restrain opponents at this point in the series and with Haku always being on the move with his attacks, Shikamaru's gonna get owned.

Neji- This could be a decent challenge for Haku where he has a decent chance of losing this battle. The Byakugan gives Neji a nearly perfect 360 degree view of his surroundings which will allow him to keep track of Haku's movements and make it tough for the underling of Zabuza to land a sneak attack. The Heavenly Spin would allow Neji to defend against Haku's acupuncture needles and to drive back Haku if he tries landing any attacks. That doesn't make this battle a complete stomp against Haku though as he is a more keen analyst and could figure out Neji's blind spot and other weaknesses if he allowed the battle to drag out long enough.

Rock Lee- Here's whom I believe Haku's gauntlet ends against. Lee's Strong Fist fighting style and the rigorous training he received from Gai give him a great amount of strength and speed that Haku would have problems defending against. Even without using the Eight Gates, Lee should have enough strength to shatter Haku's Ice Mirrors with a single blow if he tries using the technique against Lee. If Lee does use the Gates, then his victory is practically guaranteed as Haku wouldn't have any means of defending against the immense speed and damage coming from Lee's blows. While Haku is the more better tactician in this match, that won't mean much against a powerhouse like Rock Lee as Haku lacks anything in his arsenal that would be sufficient to hinder or defend against Lee's attacks and immense speed.

Naruto- The outcome of this battle depends on what stage of the tourney Haku fights Naruto. If fighting him in the preliminaries, Haku easily wins this match as Orochimaru's tampering with Naruto's seal would prevent him from accessing the Kyubi's power and limiting him to spamming Shadow Clones. Naruto's strength and speed are rather average at this point in the series without a Kyubi powerup so this would be an effortless victory for Haku. If Naruto is fought during the final rounds of this tourney, then Haku will have a tougher adversary to contend with if Naruto gains a Kyubi powerup where both fighters have a equal shot at taking each other out.

Sasuke- During the prelims, Sasuke's cursed seal is gonna be nagging him and any use of chakra will drive him into the seal's Level 1 form while corroding his mind. If he tries relying on physical abilities alone in this battle, then his battle with Haku will be similar to their battle in the Land of Waves arc where both are equal adversaries up to when Haku uses his Crystal Ice Mirrors. Going into CS form would grant Sasuke more strength and speed at the cost of his mind where in that situation, he's easy pickings to Haku. If fought during the finals, Sasuke's boost in speed and use of the Sharingan will aid him against Haku's attacks making this a more equal match between the two and where a CS boost wouldn't affect Sasuke's mind. A match between Haku and Sasuke in the finals of the tourney could go either way.

Gaara- There's no way for Haku to win this match. Gaara's sand provides him with one of the strongest defenses of any character in the series and I can't see Haku's acupuncture needles being able to pierce through Gaara's defenses and with Shukaku's power at Gaara's disposal, Haku's screwed. Haku has nothing in his arsenal that is gonna be capable of going through Gaara.

Agreed, as I stated also, Haku wouldn't have a hope in hell of beating Gaara, it would be a complete mismatch (although with Haku's speed, he may be able to get around the sand).
