The Superman VS Goku fight is quite possibly the biggest comic/manga crossover ever. No matter how much each side debates, there is never a full conclusion drawn.

Every DBZ fan boy will tell you Goku would take this fight easily. This is simply and plainly wrong. We will be discussing Superman Pre-Crisis, Kingdom Come, Prime, and One Million Superman.

And you know there are versions of Superman that are not weak against Kryptonite? In Kingdom Come, Due to a lifetime of absorbing yellow-solar radiation, he is more powerful than ever, and is even immune to kryptonite. Then There's Superman Prime. (see Link)

The first matter of discussion in balance of power is The Sword Of Superman. The sword formed during creation's Big Bang with an "S" logo emblazoned in its handle; this "Sword of Superman" floats around space for centuries until it finally comes into contact with Superman. When Superman grasps the sword, it begins to make him an all-powerful, all-knowing super deity.

Second matter of business. Superman sat in the sun for a millennia and became practically omnipotent, a.k.a One Million Superman, a.k.a Sun-Dipped Superman. He is capable to travelling faster than the speed of light, he is also strong enough to punch through the time barrier, leap between planets and invulnerable to practically everything. Along with the traditional Kryptonian senses ten new abilities were added to the Dynasty by the marriage of a Superman to Queen Gzntplzk of the Fifth Dimension. These new abilities include techno-rapport (the ability to control computers), limited control of magnetism, genesis level intellect, super-ESP (a form of super-hypnosis), no longer as susceptible to magic, the ability to think billions of different lines of thought at the same time, etc.

These are just a few of the feats I see in the silver age comics. Superman once traveled so fast that he was destroying the fabric of space and time and the Spectre had to show up and tell him to slow the hell down. There was once a story where Superman, standing in front of Lois Lane, heard the cries of another galaxy, and, within the time it took Lois to blink, had flown to said galaxy, ended the problem, and returned without her even noticing. He has re-ignited a sun by crashing two moons together and lighting them with his heat vision. All-Star Superman. This guy is freakin’ unbeatable.

No matter how you draw it out, 200 Quintillion tons >>>>>>>>>>>>40 tons. That is a huge gap that Goku just can’t overcome.

To really decide a victor in this battle, the thing we have to do in this arguement is look at the two characters on an equal footing, not superman at his weakest, and Goku at his strongest, vice versa.

So nothing like 1M supes Vs. Goku from the beginning of Dragonball, nor end of DBGT Goku Vs. Supes that lost to Doomsday.

On an equal fair correct footing, you've just about got SSJ4 Goku Vs. Pre-crisis Superman, and Supes has got the fight pretty handily. Or Goku DB Vs. Post crisis supes, or DBZ Goku Vs. All-Star Superman, or DBGT Goku vs 1M supes with 5th dimmension powers. When you look at this equal footing, Superman takes the fight pretty handily.

And one more thing, speculation is the BASIS of Goku fanboy arguments. Did Goku ever destroy a universe? NO! Did he ever destroy a Solar System? NO! Did he ever explicitly go FTL? NO NO NO! They say "powerlevel 500, he can do this, powerlevel one million, he kills god" etc. How can you actually prove that???
