Gildarts was the most powerful in Fairy Tail and as far as I'm aware he still should be. Makarov is the only one who is probably more powerful.

@DBZ_universe: Mystogan is mystogan (edolas), Jellal is Jellal (normal world). There is only one of each, their separate identities distinguish them.

Gildarts takes this easily.

Before the timeskip, Gilarts>Laxus>Jellal>Mystogan>Erza IMO. In the current arc that order might be a little different, but Mystogan wouldn't go any higher.

@GIRUGAMESH: I agree... but if it's Jellal then he takes it IMO... but the real Mystogan loses to Gildarts horrible.

@DBZ_universe: I've missed quite a few of the early chapters after the time skip i.e. the ones where some members got big power ups. Did Jellal get one? If not I'd say he still loses then.

@ohgodwhy: Yes he got a huge power up... he could had own Jura (which Makarov stated that he could had give Gildarts a good challenge) but got interrupted by Ultear using Meredy's bond magic thingy..

but that's my opinion.
