well whats  to say that blast wont dissipate before it gets to him.

I wouldn't underrate Baraggan but come on. Even he would fall almost instantly to the devourer of worlds.

This fight is an epic curbstomp in Galactus' favour. 
 
I can see why some would think Barragan has a chance, but the fact is, he can be harmed. Soi Fon's bankai was able to harm him, and the blasts from Galactus would be thousands of times more powerful than anything seen in Bleach. The blast would simply be too powerful to decay totally before it reached him.
