Bardock CAN win. It really depends.
Assuming he got a Zenkai after getting whomped by Dodoria and Frieza's death battle, Bardock's power level would be a bit over 10,000. I'm confident that once he goes Super Saiyan, he'll be strong enough to take first form Frieza, after a very tough battle.
However, if he lets Frieza transform, he's screwed.
Luckily, Bardock seemed to be the only character in the series with the common sense to not do that, so I think he's safe.
