Well, I think Cross has the advantage in movement speed. Vash has damn good reactions, and attacking speed though; his wings also defend him automatically. Does Vash have access to his black hole bullets? If not, then I can see this going in Cross's favor.

Cross's illusions won't do much, I think. Vash could just use pain to break out of them like he did with Dominique. The same goes for Carte Garde. If Legato couldn't control Vash, I don't see how Cross is going to be able to.

EDIT: Then again, since Vash is in character I'm not sure if he would be willing to use the black hole bullets on Cross. That would probably kill him.

@Haofan123: Yes, you're probably right on that. Those black hole bullets are deadly, there's no doubt on that. It would be uncharacteristic for Vash to use them on Cross without extreme provocation.

How durable is Cross anyway, would Vash's Wings or his normal bullets be able to do any damage?

@Haofan123: Vash is particularly skilled and Cross doesn't have a lot of durability feats that come to mind, excluding power-scaling. Vash could take out Cross's joints, or his eye for instance to incapacitate him; the later is uncharacteristic though. The Wings would protect Vash from Cross's attacks. But I know Cross's bullets have some impressive piercing power, and can hurt characters like the Level 4 Akuma so I'm not sure how the Wings would hold up to them.

I think it's up to whoever attacks first. It can go either way.

So what are some feats of Cross?? cause I don't want to say Vash wins right away...

He can fire bullets so fast that it sounds like one shot depsite the fact that he actually fired 5 or 6, his grave of maria can control peoples movements, he can amp up his innocence in order to fire a highly destructive attack called arrow of original sin, he should easily be abullet timer, and his bullets follwo their target until they strike it

Wow that are some badass feats!!! he is similar to Vash but in different ways as well... like firing multiple bullets that it sounds as if it was one... but would his Grave of Maria give him an advantage since you said it can control peoples movements?

@Haofan123: Well that is true... Legato is a dangerous dude.. he could manipulate an entire village/town with ease.

But wouldn't the bullets that follow the opponents would be tricky for Vash though.. and also Vash does have a hidden gun... so idk..
