Clearly that's not the case.

I do believe it is indeed the case.

Look at Nabeshin. He's appeared in several series.

"
And in how many of those series has he actually displayed his directing talents?

Also, rule of thumb for battles; What works in one universe will function in another. It's basic rule.

You've got it all wrong here. What functions in one universe will indeed work in another, however, Nabeshin has no power other than that of a regular human, because he is a director. It's like an egg inside of an egg, or watching a man on television watching television. Nabeshin directs his show therefore giving the allusion of power, in his show. Superman, on the other hand, is not a human director, but an actual Kryptonian with actual abilities. With Nabeshin, it's a show imitating real life into a show, therefore ending Nabeshin up in the real world as only a human. With Superman, it's DC as a fictional universe, however what we see in Superman's abilities is considered a reality, not a special effect or gimmick in a show. Leaving Nabeshin just as weak as any human being, considering he is only a human director character.

@ReiKai:   but if tenchi is his avatar that means they are the same person so why would one person  not know anything about himself?

What you believe and what the Facts are are two completely different things altogether. And Nabeshin has displayed them in Every series. Also, clearly Nabeshin doesn' t agree with you.

Nabeshin is doing these things in a series created by Koshi Rikudo, making him the TOAA as he not only created the series but appears in it as well. Even then Nabeshin kicks the shit out of him every other episode and Forces him to do whatever he wants. As does That Man and Excel has even killed Koshi in the First Episode. You really just don't know or understand anything.

You're the one who's wrong about the facts. Nabeshin has shown power in every series he's in? First, prove it. Second, only when he's the director of any certain show does he have any power at all other than just being a human.
Nabeshin also has made a brief appearance in Nurse Witch Komugi, where he is supposed to direct her anime, but quit due to co-worker incompetence. This shows that he's just a human director. Clearly you understand and know nothing.

He is only able to beat others by being a human director in control of any particular series.

You really just don't know or understand anything. See that? I can play the ad hominem game too!

Again, you understand nothing. If he was Only a Human director he'd never appear in anything at all. And by sheer fact he has a Real counterpart means no Fictional char can do shit about him because they're all Fake on Paper and computer images and with his Directorship power he can Change the Story at will to whatever the hell he wants. He's shown it. There's nothing any of these guys can do. 4th wall breaking only exists because a Writer allows it to. None of your comic guys can do jack whereas Nabeshin can do anything he wants. Why? Because he's GDW. You don't mess with that. You can't deny that. He's proven it. He can rip off powers if he wants to. Like the Nabehameha.

YOU understand nothing. Isn't Ad Hominem fun? So now you're telling me what I can and cannot do? Interesting. Nabeshin's *character* is a human director. Fact. You've got it wrong. While in the real world Super-heroes are fake and on paper, in the fictional universe they are just as real as any human being. All Nabeshin has proven is that he's just a human director, a human director CHARACTER. Which makes him just as easily defeated by any street level character.
