Did you Know That ...

Superman peaks his lift around 100 tons

100 tons = 100,000 kg = 220,462.262 lbs

An average person can lift 40% of their weight

An average person weighs 80kg, 40% of that is 32kg

100,000/32 = 3125, meaning superman can lift 3125 times the average man

Now, remember when Raditz scanned a human and his power level was 5?

Well, Superman's PL is 3125x5, which is 15625

Goku, when training with King Kai, reached 16000PL using kaioken2x

When using kaioken4x, he reached around 40k

Goku wins. Science proves it.

Kakarot still the World's strongest... :DDD

Don't say that ssj4 only carried a building because gt is crapshit.

What is superman's peak for lifting then?

That's poor logic because PL's aren't based solely off how much someone can lift.

Also didn't Superman tug a couple of planets around once?

Post by eddz99 (2,574 posts) See mini bio Level 11

@ohgodwhy: I thought everything is based on PL, like mr satan, i think he should have like 20 pl

Post by ohgodwhy (1,593 posts) See mini bio Level 12

@eddz99: PL is based on how much ki/fighting ability someone has, not how much weight they can lift.

You can't scale PL between two different fictional universes, let a lone a universe that doesn't go by PL (DC). Not only that, Superman far exceeds 100 tons, he's a legit planet buster. Don't take "class 100" literally since all planet buster usually get this label. And strength alone does not put Superman above Goku.

"Class 100" is a class for anyone capable of lifting 100 tons or more. So basically, lifting 100, 000, 000 tons would still place you in the Class 100 category.

@ReVamp:

People stopped using class 100 quiet some time ago and he didn't even say class 100 he said 100 tons and settled with a more precise way.

And lol, new Supes benched earth's mass for 5 fucking days.

And old Supes > new one.

EDIT: Also, power levels are bullshit.

People still use class 100 quite a lot. And I didn't say otherwise, it was my assumption, because its the only logical explanation from where he got his statistics from.

Supes benched the weight the Earth for 5 days straight without breaking a sweat. Now please stop making these stupid threads.

Post by Fehafare (9,512 posts) See mini bio Level 13

@ReVamp:

More common now are Classes 1 to Y (there are some before such as sub-human and superhuman) and they later go into stellar expressions finishing the list of with immeasurable.

And to be honest i wasn't very fond of class 100 as it as you said covers anything over 100 which is just too vague.

Roflstomp:

All-star: 200Quint Tons (ignoring that huge amount, just because... obviously)

Silver Age: Ridiculous strong--wasn't he the one who sneezed a solar system out of existence as well as pulling planets?

Then again--don't know what 's[feats] been retconn'd and not.

Crisis capped the strength of the DC strong characters. Then a few years later they lifted the cap. Now the cap tends to be gone. They should focus on getting good creative writers for Superman. You don't see Silver Surfer struggling with his stories and he's more powerful than Superman.

That was a troll thread made on 4Chan for the sole purpose of making people mad. It's not to be taken seriously.

@Loydna: You don't know if All-Star or the SA have been retconned? I am speechless.

Have you read a Superman before? If you had you would likely know that he is, well let's say decidedly above 100 tons. As in most any of his various versions, moves planets which typically range from the quintillion to the septillion range in tons.
Post by MarioRedfield (1,860 posts) See mini bio Level 12

@taichokage: His bench max alone is beyond the sextillions now. That's not even the hardest type of lift.

GA Superman vs Goku= Goku wins, GA Superman was only 20-30 tons, and couldn't fly only jump really high. Bullets bounced off of him, but artillery shells caused him to bleed.

SA Superman vs Goku= Goku dies horribly. SA Superman destroyed a solar system with a mere sneeze, blew out suns with his super breath, destroy creation by flying to fast, and made up new powers.

BA Superman vs Goku= BA Superman wins, this is around Superboy Prime Level of power. SA Supes can push planets around by himself.

Post-Crisis Superman vs Goku= Fight can go anyway. (Sundipped Post-Crisis Superman would beat Goku)

New 52 Superman vs Goku= Goku beats the new Superman, he hasn't been shown to be a strong as his predecessors.
