Plot Summary

Sensing that Kageroza will likely attack at any time, the vice captains remaining in the World of the Living plan to hide Nozomi away while they prepare for his arrival. Having awakened her Zanpakuto, Nozomi refuses and decides to fight along side with them. Initially the vice-captains are against this but after refusing to back down on the issue, Ichigo and friends decide to train with her to help her unlock her Shikai form. Meanwhile, Kageroza repairs the Reigai that were damaged in battle and sends the Reigai of Kenpachi, Hitsugaya, Byakuya and Komamura to the World of the Living. While traveling through the Precipice World, the Reigai fall into a trap set by Urahara and are delayed.

Back in the World of the Living, Ichigo and friends are battling with Nozomi to awaken her Zanpakuto's Shikai form. The training is having an effect as Nozomi and other notice that her Zanpakuto seems to be absorbing the spiritual pressure of those that she fights, but the process is slow. Yumichika notices this and tells them that if they want to quickly have her unlock her abilities, they need to attack her with the intent to kill so that she is forced to improve quickly or die. Nozomi and the others agrees with this and increase their intensity.

At the same time, Ikkaku notices that Kenpachi's Reigai has appeared in the real world and heads out to battle it while the others train with Nozomi. Ikkaku begins his battle but is interrupted by the other vice captains, who immediately leave after the other Reigai Captains arrive. After they've left, Ikkaku uses his Bankai and continues the fight. Back with Nozomi, the training intensifies and Nozomi is able to remember the name of her Zanpakuto: Arazomeshigure. Afterwards, she rushes off to face the Reigai Kenpachi, who has defeated Ikkaku, and lands a devastating attack on him.
