Most events in the episode are filler material or change the continuity of events in the manga.

None of the events in the episode are from the manga.

The character Carmen is a filler character and doesn't not appear in the manga, as well with her two assistants, Leon and Jose.

Zeff is seen in a newspaper talking about the restraurant Baratie and in a flash of Sanji's memories. In this paper we see Zeff and Patty.

A record is playing in this episode where the lyrics seem to be about Luffy.

In the restaurant Zoro says he doesn't have any money, but in the previous episodes Zoro was given the money he stole from the Marine's back and he should still have the 100,000 beli he borrowed from Nami. The only sword he could of bought was 50,000 beli, and was never shown actually paying for it.

The Elephant Blue-Finned Tuna, that is from the manga, is the prize of the cooking contest Carmen mentioned at the beginning of the episode, but it's appearance is a surprise to everyone when they see it later in the episode.

This episode ends putting events back to the manga continuity.

Ending Theme-

"RUN! RUN! RUN!" by Maki Otsuki
