You might have spotted some pictures around of a newly-revealed character from Final Fantasy XIII-- one who appeared briefly in the trailer, but until now we didn't have a name for. She is Oerba Yun Fang, and yes, of course she's vaguely Asian-looking. She also gets to summon Bahamut, the lucky girl!

It's not entirely clear yet whose site Yun Fang is on; she and Dia Vanille, the pigtailed girl, both carry that "Oerba" attached to their name-- is it a title? Or could they be related? Kombo also posits that she might be a villain because she "appears tobe on the government's side," but can you imagine not getting to play the person who summons Bahamut? Maybe she's sort of like a Cait Sith (good guy pretending to be a bad guy pretending to be a good guy), or even an Edea (bad guy who becomes a good guy)-- we'll see.

Also, her hair kinda makes me think of Pat Benetar. I've also seen comparisons to Joan Jett and Chrissie Hynde...anyone else want to throw an '80s rocker out there?

She kinda does. It's really badass i think! Also, anybody else notice that in the trailer she has an accent? Maybe from New Zealand or Australia.

I'm going with both. She may betray, but she's FF VII's Cid with curves! How could she be on any side but good? All she's missing is a cig.

Nah, the person I immediately thought of when I first saw her was Christina Aguilera back when she had black hair.
