Evangelion: Death and Rebirth
The first movie in the evangelion franchise, it consists of two parts, the first one is a retelling of the show and the second a new ending.
The first part of the movie, Death is a re-edit of the series from episode 1 to 24 with some added footage.
The second part, Rebirth was originally meant to be what eventually became episode 25: Air of The End of Evangelion, but due to time and budget constraints only 15 of the 40 minutes were added. End of Evangelion was released four months later and it included the finished episode 25: Air and Episode 26: My Purest Heart for You (Sincerely Yours).
Death was added to the compilation DVD The Revival of Evangelion alongside End of Evangelion.
