Evangeline is a powerful magi who has attempted to take over the world on multiple occasions, only being stopped by Nagi Springfield. The story of Evangeline is told to children of the magic world as a boogie-man like fable as explained by Anya, negi's childhood friend.

Evangeline was cursed to remain at Mahora Academy by Nagi Springfield, father of Negi Springfield. When Evangeline was introduced, she was an enemy of Negi, Wanting to drain all of his blood and lift the curse that his father placed upon her. After her loss to Negi, she become his master. It appears that evangeline has feelings for Nagi and Negi however these are not officially confirmed.
