Eureka Seven Getting a Sequel

The official website for the Eureka Seven: Astral Ocean (Eureka Seven Ao) project announced on Friday in Japan that a television anime version will air starting in April 2012. The anime studio BONES will return to animate the sequel series.

The feeling going around the blogosphere is that the main character of AO will be a descendant of Renton and Eureka, also lots of prayers for it to please not suck.

I don't man, I felt like that 2009 movie was garbage and one of the biggest wastes of time I felt like I got rope a doped into. I mean that movie was mind numbing in its laziness.

I guess this means we have the kid of RentonxEureka and the kid of HollandxTalho hangin out together? Though I wish the latter would put on some pants.

@DocHaus: She's got pants on. They're just low-risers. Kids and their crazy fashions.

Anyway, I'm excited since Eureka 7 is in my top 5 anime series of all time. I expect more teenage romance and angst aplenty.

That's cool, hope it's good. I've only seen bits and pieces of Eureka Seven but always heard good things.
