Her Japanese cover was done by Kyoko Hikami, and her English dub was covered by Leach Applebaum.
Erika In The Manga
Her first manga appearance was in the Pokemon Adventures, her debut being Blame it on Eevee! in the Red, Green, & Blue chapter.
Character Evolution
Physical
Erika's Unique Hair
Erika is one of the most iconic Pokemon characters because of her look. She represents the traditional Japanese young lady, and is a fan favorite. She is average to small in height, just depending on how she is drawn. Her skin color is a very pale tone, certainly placed in the "light" tones. Her hair varies in color as well, but it is most commonly seen dark in color. In the original and English dub anime versions, her hair is a cool blue color, making her distinct in appearance. However, in popular Cosplay and fan-art, she is depicted with having black to very dark brown hair, but the general assumption is she has blue hair. Her common clothing ranges from traditional Japanese clothing, such as kimonos, to her iconic green dress shown in the anime. This dress is sea-foam green in color, with white stripes as an accent. There is a small red bow at the meeting place of the lines, and the length of the dress is as short as mid-length down her thigh. It has mid-length sleeves as well, with red high-heels. One trait that seems to carry with Erika in all her appearances is a red headband she wears to separate her hair, letting her bangs slide under it and keeping the rest of hair pulled back.
