Erigor was the former Guild Master of the Dark Guild, Eisenwald. He attained the nickname "Death God Erigor" through his guild only taking on assassination requests.
Not Much is known about Erigor's past. Erigor gained his nickname Shinigami because he has been taking assassination request, which the Council prohibits. His action caused his guild to be counted as one of Dark Guild.
Erigor, who is created by Hiro Mashima, has no information on what inspires the author to create him. He first appears in Fairy Tail volume 2 and episode 5. His Japanese voice actor is Koichi Tochika, and his English voice actor is Jonathan Brooks.
Erigor orders Kageyama and other guild members to obtain the cursed item known as Lullaby, which will place death curse on anyone who listens its music. Everything was going well for Erigor until Erza eavesdropped Kagemaya talking with other members. Erigor lures Natsu and his team to a train station, telling them he will broadcast Lullaby's song by using station's speaker. Natsu and the other guild members do their best to stop Erigor, but it was reveal it was part of his plan to trap them using his wind wall magic. His real goal was use it on the Guild Master, getting his revenge for banning his guild. Just before his plan was about to succeed, Natsu who escaped from the wind wall with help of Virgo, confronts Erigor. The two ends up having fierce battle.
Erigor confronts Natsu again to help Oracion Seis and its plan, only to be defeated shortly after. Erigor did not care about Oracion Seis because all he wants is to get his revenge on Natsu.
Erigor specializes in wind magic, enabling him to use wind to attack or to fly.
Wind Wall : Erigor uses around the train station to trap Natsu and everybody else, preventing them from interfering his plan any further.
Storm Bringer / Storm Wave : Shoots tornado out of his palm.
Wind Mail / Storm Robe : Covers his body with wind, making him impervious to both physical and flame attacks.
