Intro
Elementar Gelade is yet another title in a long line of action comedy anime, and seems to be trying to be generic in ever possible way.

Story
Cu is a generic optimistic anime hero, who's a member of a sky pirate crew. After a raid on a rich guy's ship, Cu decides to investigate a strange box. Inside he finds a girl who soon confesses her hatred for the human race. It turns out, the girl, named Rein is actually a member of a dying breed called Elderays. Soon after they are boarded by a faction that wants to buy Rien from them, during negotiations another group attacks in an attempt to kidnap Rein. During the fight Rein makes a pact with Cu to help him fight, in exchange Cu promises to help Rein find her birthplace Edel Garden. The other faction who wanted to by rein also tags along
But what are the Elderays? The elderay are a race of all female with the ability to turn there bodies into powerful waepons. , after the pact is made, they can't make a new one till the current host, or as the anime calls them Pleasure (innuendo?) dies, though a pleasure can have multiple pacts

Review
If my summery of the story didn't give it a way, this is pretty generic, except for the action anyways. There are actually very few of what could be called fight scenes in the anime. Most of the time An enemy will appear, Cu will launch one attack, and the enemy will be gone almost as fast as it appeared. There is some good comedy near the Beginning, but that tempers down as the anime tries to push the boring story.
