El-Hazard

El-Hazard is an anime directed by Hiroki Hayashi and franchised by Anime International and was released in may 1995 and lasted 7 episodes Later a manga would be released and published by Viz Media (who Anime Vice recently spoke with).

Plot Overview

The whole franchise begins when Makoto Mizuhara falls into a hole that goes to school's underground. There he encounters Ifurita, a blue-haired women who was in sleeping. When Makoto woke her up, Ifurita started to cry from seeing Makoto. Shortly after Ifurita uses her power to teleport Makoto to the world of El-Hazard, along with other people that happen to be in the vicinity.

When Makoto gained conscious, he realized he was in another world, totally different than the world he used to live in.

Franchise

El Hazard began as OVA comprised of seven episode, but the series continued on with TV version of it and a new story.

TV version of OVA version. Not only the story line has been simplified making it into 26 episode series, the character received some changes in their appearance as well.
