Actor/singer who has starred in the live action movie Gegege no Kitaro.

 ウエンツ瑛士 ( Eiji Wentz) is a Japanese singer, songwriter, model, actor, voice actor and variety show host. He is mostly known for his musical work with the music duo WaT with fellow actor Teppei Koike and starring as Kitaro in two GeGeGe no Kitaro live action movies based on the classic manga and anime series.
Eiji Wentz was born in Tokyo, Japan to a Japanese mother and German-American father. He started in show business at the age of 4 as a child model and theatre actor. Eiji became famous during his teen years from his  work on the television show Tensai Terebi-kun, where he would play live, usually playing bass guitar or piano. 

Music Career

Playing music on Tensai Terebi-kun led Eiji to learn to play the guitar and in 2002 started a band with Teppei Koike called WaT(Wentz and Teppei). Together they played live street performances until they released their first CD Single Boku no Kimochi(My Feelings). Since 2005 they have realeased 8 CD singles, 2 albums, and 4 DVDs. 

Acting and Television Career

Though Eiji is most well known for his musical work he is also known today for his work on many Japanese variety shows, TV dramas and movies. He starred in two GeGeGe no Kitaro live-action movies, played the part of Franck in the Nodame Cantabile movie, and is currently hosting the TV variety show Super Suprise.
