Kirie Kanoe is a member of Paranormal Investigations Club and the living grand-niece of Yuuko Kanoe. She can also see Yuuko and other ghosts.

Momoe Okonogi is a member of the Paranormal Investigations Club who feels indebted to Teiichi Niiya for saving her from what she thought was an evil spirit. She can't see jokes.

Teiichi, enrols into Seikyou Private Academy and one day gets lost. He finds a person called, Yuuko and together they form Paranormal Investigations club.

Yuuko Kanoe is a ghost of Seikyou Private Academy who died over fifty years ago and has no memories of how she died with her body trapped inside the school. After she met Teiichi Niiya, she created the Paranormal Investigations Club to learn about her past.

Yuuko Kirishima is a girl who hates ghost stories because she was bullied for sharing the same name as the legend of Yuuko Kanoe.
