Plot

Seikyou Academy's Paranormal Research Club

60 years ago, a young woman was left to die in the abandoned school building behind the exclusive Seikyou Academy. Perhaps it’s not so surprising then, that among Seikyou’s many school clubs is one for students interested in “paranormal investigations.” Unable to remember how she died and trapped in the grey land between life and death, the ghost girl Yuko latches onto Teiichi Niiya, a freshman who can inexplicably see her, and together they and the other unsuspecting members of the club begin to unravel the many dark mysteries that surround Seikyou. In a tomb of silent classrooms, the answers await in Dusk maiden of Amnesia.

Teiichi Niiya

Teiichi Niiya

Teiichi Niiya is a first year at Seikyou Academy, and one day he was wondering through one old abandoned wings of the old school while lost. While there, he meets the ghost of a former student who died over fifty years ago and has no memories of her past. After he finds the remains of her body hidden in the old wing, he joins the Paranormal Research Club Yuuko creates to discover the truth of her past.

Yuuko Kanoe

Yuuko Kanoe

Yuuko Kanoe is the spirit of a student who died fifty years ago but she no longer remembers how she died. Before she met Niiya, who could see her, she didn't care to really look into her past. She's so touched by Teiichi's concern for her that she creates the Paranormal Research Club to finally investigate her own history.

Kirie Kanoe

Kirie Kanoe

Kirie Kanoe is the grand-niece of Yuuko Kanoe. She looks similar to Yuuko, but with shorter hair. Despite her ability to see ghosts, such as Yuuko, she is deeply scared of them. She thought Yuuko was actually an evil spirit until she got to know her, then joins the Paranormal Research Club.

Momoe Okonogi

Momoe Okonogi

Momoe Okonogi is a young and energetic student who joins the Paranormal Research Club after she feels indebted to Teiichi for saving her from what she thought was the vengeful wrath of the spirit of Yuuko. She is the only member of the club who can't see Yuuko Kanoe.

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia is a supernatural, mystery manga series created by Maybe. It was originally serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker magazine on April 22, 2009. The first volume collection of the manga was released on August 22, 2009. The standard price for the volume collections were ￥590 each.

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia is the anime adaptation of the Dusk Maiden of Amnesia manga created Maybe. This series is directed Takashi Sakamoto and by written by Katsuhiko Takayama. The music produced by Keigo Hoashi and Ryuuichi Takada. It's a supernatural mystery series that incorporates comedy and romance. It is produced by the SILVER LINK, and has aired in Japan on various distributors, such as Animax. The first episode originally aired on April 8, 2012.

In May 2012 The Anime Network announced they had acquired the licensing rights, and they began streaming the series in in the same month.
