I am a fan of the series, and I understand the rest of the fan's hatred. I look at it as James Wong's worse work, but with all the fight scenes, and the fact that he is Chinese instead of Japanese I can not say I hated it, because then I'd be lying. Compared to the bootleg version the theatrical version is much better. I love the fact that they made the names revert back to there original style. For intance Shernron went to be called Shenlong Then yo just got to love Piccolo. I am sure almost very fan was impressed with James Marsters. The fact was he was a favorable actor in the movie who many believed was a fan of Dragon Ball. Now not to say there aren't some scenes I just couldn't take watching. The first 10 to 20 minutes were horrid. I mean Goku going to school and having a crush was something I could not takes watching. Luckily that did have some humor. In truth the complete movie has humor all through. The laughs were great, and very Dragon ball like. I know people hated Chow Yun Fat's impersonation of Roshi, but that was not his fault. In fact Chow Young knew this as a fan of Dragon ball himself. The weirdest part at this time was Arika Toyarama never spoke up. Many protester believed he was on there side why non or anti-protesters (Like me) believed he was on there side. It is till unknown. The Arika did say never help with that understanding. Now Dragon ball fans are broken-heart. The fans are divides, but Dragon ball doesn't end as new games, and movies still unveil themselves. Even things like Dragon ball Kai.
