A live-action film loosely based on the Dragon Ball manga and anime.
Dragonball : Evolution is a modern day telling of Dragonball. Over 2,000 years ago the Earth was nearly destroyed by Lord Piccolo and Ozaru. Monks created the Mafuba to seal away Lord Piccolo and the Earth was saved. In the current year, Goku is in high school and living with his grandfather, Gohan, and on his 18th birthday Goku is given the 4 star dragonball. After Gohan is killed by the risen Lord Piccolo Goku sets out on a journey with Bulma to find Master Roshi and the remaining dragonballs. With the help of Bulma and her dragon radar, Roshi and his training, and eventually Yamcha, Goku searches for the dragonballs to stop Lord Piccolo before the blood moon awakens Ozaru. In a last ditch effort Goku and the others travel to an old temple for Goku to learn the Kamehameha and to create a new Mafuba to trap Lord Piccolo. The battle for the fate of the Earth begins.
