Why didnt they just redo everything for Kai?

I am really disappointed with Dragon Ball Kai. Why didnt they just redo everything. Its a pretty big bummer when you see the intro with the awesome new animation and then you see the show with the old drawn stuff. It's almost worse because you see what Kai really could have been instead of this sorta half assed way of doing things. I guess my question is, are you dissapointed in Kai like I am, and do you think they will ever properly redo everything to live up to the visual standards of anime being released today. Personally, I think if they were going to do the whole remake exactly like the manga thing, they should have done it like Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. If they eventually do remake everything, I just hope we dont have to wait until the 30th anniversary.

It would cost tons of money and time to completely re-draw the whole series.  It would have been nice though.

They've had more than enough time and have more than enough resources to accomplish this. With all the money they pull in from just the game franchises, they could've re-animated the whole series easily. They just didn't want to put in the effort.

It would have been epic, DBZ redone and looking the same way (animation wise) the Kai opening does.

The Kai opening has the same animation style as the Budokai games, so it's not like they can't do it, they just didn't want to spend time on it.
