There is a current attempt of a new live action film web series of DBZ by a company called Robot Underdog. Currently Robot Underdog are trying to decide between the history of trunks and battle of the gods; and are asking fans to comment on their page to help them decide! http://www.robotunderdog.com/1/post/2013/07/your-choice-battle-of-the-gods-or-the-http://www.robotunderdog.com/1/category/dbz/1.html-of-trunks.html They have Derek Padula writing the script! He is the "Dao of Dragonball". Look him up if you need more info. And as I was looking this up, it looks like they are going with the history of trunks, but I could be wrong. Anyone else have any updates/information? I do hope they go for the history of trunks over battle of gods. Only because I want to see battle of gods in the original animated English version before I see a live action film made from it. Also, the actress they have for android 18 is extremely sexy! As a long time dbz fan, this is the best news I have heard in a long time ! And since they are a smaller company, they can make smarter decisions about the film instead of having head hanchos from multi million dollar companies telling them what to do!!! And I hope to god they do not screw it up like the last live action film.... But i have faith in this company, because i have seen some of their previews of this film they are making, and it looks great so far!!!! Everyone who is a dbz fan must visit their site to check it out and comment on their page and spread the word! If they do extremely well with this one film, imagine what they could do in the future! Like remaking all the other movies into a live action film series!!! Is anyone else (who is a dbz fan) excited about this? Would you want them to do the history of trunks or the battle Of gods? DBZ Lives on!!!

This thread checks out. I thought it was spam for a moment. Personally, I wouldn't support live adaptations of Dragon Ball Z.

Yeah sorry about that, i guess i could see someone thinking it was spam, i just really like dbz and seeing that they are trying to make something new makes me anxious! haha. Why wouldn't you support live adaptations? I am really curious about that. When they came out with good live batman, xmen, superman, and Spider-Man movies I was stoked! It's fun to see some variety of how you picture stories.

@GoldenOozaru22:

I can't explain it, but there is a pattern of superhero comic books' live adaptations doing better than their anime counterparts. I know most folks are not open to the anime live adaptations due to the recent flops with Dragon Ball Evolution and Avatar (technically not an anime).

You're pretty optimistic. I do hope they do a good job. 17 and 18 look great by the way.

I think I'm glad to hear this. I hope it goes well.

Yes I agree that avatar and evolution were horrific . But if the same people who made batman, Spider-Man, iron man, avengers, or transformers, a live action dbz movie has a lot of potential if done correctly, the first thing they need to do is make the movie attended for adults and not children like they did with evolution and avatar. If you think about it, all the huge dbz fans out there are mainly in their twenties and early thirties, it's a generation thing. And evolution just made me want to cry haha. That movie destroyed so many hopes.....

Honestly I don't know that much gokugx, but yes that's all they are attempting for right meow. They just released a 5-10 second "test" of a kamehamehah wave A week ago, And it looks pretty good but the kamehamehah wave looks too "fake". But they did say that the finished product will be better. And I guess they will be releasing their first trailer in about a month. I love that these guys are asking people what "we" think about it . Cause unlike huge producers, these guys actually care what the fans think and they will do their best to fix the problems that the fans bring up.
