Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock (OVA) User Reviews

Following on from the end of Bardock: The Father of Goku, Bardock is revealed to have somehow survived the destriction of Planet Vegeta, and has been flung into that same world's ancient past. He finds himself protecting the planet's ancient inhabitants from one of Frieza's ancestors, Chilled, and in a surprising twist, transforms into the Super Saiyan of legend.

This was a pretty good story. Seeing Bardock's relationship with the Plants grow from indifference to protection was an interesting development, and didn't seem too forced. But the best was his transformation, and the revelation that Bardock himself was the legendary Super Saiyan, meaning that Frieza brought the very fable that he feared most into being (Gotta love irony).

All in all, this was a pretty good story for it's length, and a fitting end to Bardock's tale.
