Videos of Aina Sakura flood the internet where the people of JIOR learn about her death. Kyuuma sees Raizou telling his deceased friend that he will avenge him at the grave. Meanwhile, Haruto allows L-elf to take over the strategic planning since he believes L-elf will minimize the casualities. When Haruto gets an attack, L-elf knocks out Haruto and notes how the intervals are getting shorter. While the students are undergoing military training by L-elf. Then, the alert sounds out. Rion and the others find Raizou trapped when attempting to pilot the yellow Valvrave.

During the Dorssian battle, L-elf and the students defend themselves with the barrier while Haruto and Saki pursue Cain's fleet. Then, another Dorssian fleet attacks Module 77. The strain on the barrier causes a black out. Takahi and Satomi voices their concerns at L-elf who is calm. In the Valvrave bay, Kyuuma and Raizou argue over each other. When Raizou's words touched Kyuuma, Kyuuma knocks out Raizou. Meanwhile, L-elf observes the two students and their aptitude. The Dorssian Fleet fires it cannon at Module 77. In the nick of time, Kyuuma takes the blue Valvrave and intercepts the attack with its shield. Kyuuma destroys several Manned WAFFEL units. When an Ideal gets behind Kyuuma, Raizou's yellow Valvrave takes the Ideal. As Kyuuma and Raizou work together to take down the enemy, the Dorssian captain fires the cannon. L-elf calls Kyuuma to target the head of the ship. Seeing Aina, Kyuuma dives into the laser attack and deflects it. He fires at the head of the ship, destroying the entire ship.

With the battle over, Cain remarks how they produce 4 Valvraves. Kriemhild is suspicious with Cain. Arriving back, the students welcome their new heroes. L-elf scolds Raizou with a one week punishment in confinement. Haruto tries to hit L-elf for breaking their promise in preventing more students becoming Valvrave pilots. L-elf states that they did it on their own free will. Haruto notices that L-elf knew from the start with the enemy's diversion tactics. Kyuuma stops Haruto and asks him to fight alongside. Deep in the Valvrave laboratory, Takumi wonders about the broken Valvrave in the chamber. When he hears something, L-elf shoots the gun from Takumi's hands. Takumi explains to L-elf that all the teachers except Rion are all military personnel and that the students were conditioned to become subjects for the Valvrave.

Kyuuma: "When she laughed, it made me happy, too. She didn't believe in herself, she was kind, and she could be happy for others. She didn't like shiitake mushrooms. She didn't like tragedies but she loved horror movies. She looked so tiny when she cried that it made you want to hold her. Made you want to kiss her. Made you want to be with her forever!"
