Kimijima reveals that the Anemone Incident was actually an experiment he was conducting using the people on the ship. He tells Kaito, Akiho, Mitsuhiko, and Sumio that he was interpreted when Misa murdered him with a wrench. Since that moment Kimjima decided to haunt Misa and remind her of what she had done. Eventually, Kimijima is able to gain control of Mis and he uses her to complete Project Atum. Back in the present, Akiho asks Kimijima if Misa still loves robots and she is glad to find out that her love of robots has still survived through Kill Ballad. With her resolve reafirmed, Akiho vows to make Kimijima pay for what he did to Misa. Kimijima forces Airi to shoot her gun, but Akiho stands firm and promises that she will stop Project Atum and Kimijima. Suddenly Sumio's parrot swoops in and knocks the gun out her hand. Kimjima soon leaves Airi's body and Airi returns to her normal self.

Back at the air hanger, Subaru arrives on his moped to find Junna. She apologizes for letting the robot fall ontop of him. Subaru tells her that she can apologize by helping him fix the GunBuild-1. Just as the two decide to start fixing the robot, they are joined by Nae, Fujita and Frau.

Haunted by her guilt and her memories, Misa tries to take her life while she is free from Kimijima's control. She is prevented from doing so by Kimijima who appears beside her. He mentions how she had resisted his mind control and tells her that he will control her to the very end.

As Subaru and Junna continue working on the GunBuild-1, Akiho and Kaito land in a plane near the air hanger. With everyone assembled, they begin to plan on how to stop Kimijima from launching his black hole bomb. Quickly, they decide that the best way for them to get close to the bomb is to get past the Sumeragi robot and stop the launch after they reach the shuttle. With the plan agreed upon, the group splits up to complete their part in the plan. Frau is assigned to work on the program given by Toshiyuki Sawada. Kaito decides to work on how the EM wave irradiation device. Suddenly Kaoruko Usui, the vice principal, arrives with a group of volunteers from the school, employees from Sumio's company, and engineers from JAXA.

The final report

At the space center, Misa frees her father and he escapes. Kimijima then appears and warns her that her inner self will collapse if she continues to struggle. Misa tells him that she does not care and transfers Geji to Kaito and Akiho with the a document titled Report No. 0.
