In England 1868, during a rainy night, a carriage falls off a Cliff, leaving only two survivors George Joestar and his infant son Jonathan. Dario Brando a mischievous thief, passing by saw an opportunity to loot the coach. Meanwhile, George Joestar recovers his senses, but due to the shock of the accident and his kind spirit he thought Dario Brando was trying to help him, and promptly committed to reward him.
A few years later Dario in his death bed, demands his son, Dio Brando to search for George Joestar, as he "owes" him his life, he certainly wouldn't have a problem in helping Dio.
In the Joestar mansion, Jonathan is determined to become a true Gentleman and lives a happy life with his dog Danny. One day a girl named Erina Pdendleton, is being bullied by two random boys and Jonathan comes to the rescue. However, he gets beaten down by the guys and they walk off. Jojo confirmed to Erina that he didn't fight the boys just to impress her, he fought them because she was a woman in need of a gentleman's help.
