Di Roy Linker is Arrancar Dieciséis (Sixteen) and a member of Grimmjow Jeagerjaquez' five Fracción.
Di Roy as an Adjuchas
Ages ago, an Adjuchas-class Menos named Di Roy Linker traveled across Hueco Mundo alongside Shawlong Kūfang, Edrad Liones, Yylfordt Granz, Nakeem Greendina and two other unnamed Adjuchas consuming other Hollows in the hopes that they would all one day evolve into Vasto Lordes.
During the course of their journey, Di Roy and his fellow Hollows stumbled upon a tiny Adjuchas named Grimmjow. Upon their first initial meeting, Di Roy mocked Grimmjow's diminutive size and then apologized in advance for eating him.
However, when Di Roy made his move, Grimmjow was able to easily evade his attack and tear off a piece of Di Roy's Hollow Mask, thus permanently halting his evolutionary growth and making it impossible for him to ever become a Vasto Lorde. Despite this incident, Di Roy remained with the group even after Grimmjow was appointed as their "King" by Shawlong.
But after having hunted and consumed 3000 Hollows, Di Roy and the others came to the realization that their evolution had stopped right there and then and that none of them would ever evolve into Vasto Lordes like they once hoped. Grimmjow, on the other hand, refused to accept this truth and decided to go on hunting without Di Roy and the others.
Before he did so however, Shawlong asked that Grimmjow eat a piece of each of them so that Grimmjow could become stronger and they could prevent themselves from de-evolving back into Gillians.
Agent of The Shinigami Arc
An undetermined amount of years (possibly centuries) later, Di Roy was seen scolding a Hollow named Iceringer for his humiliating defeat at the hands of Ichigo Kurosaki while Iceringer was in the middle of tearing off The Grand Fisher's Hollow Mask and transforming him into an imperfect Arrancar.
The Arrancar Saga
Di Roy, who had been transformed into an Arrancar and was reunited with Grimmjow, Shawlong, Yyolfordt, Nakeem and Edrad, was present at a meeting being held by Sosuke Aizen when Ulquiorra Cifer and Yammy Rialgo returned to Hueco Mundo following a reconnaissance mission intended solely for the purpose on gathering information on Ichigo Kurosaki and watched the ensuing argument which erupted from a difference of opinion between Ulquiorra and Grimmjow revolving around Ulquiorra's decision to spare Ichigo's life as he was, in Ulquiorra's own words, "not worth killing."
Believing that Ulquiorra had gone soft, Grimmjow gathered Di Roy and the other members of his Fracción together that night and led them on a second invasion of Karakura Town. When the hunt for Ichigo and the others began, Di Roy came into contact with Yasutora "Chad" Sado and attempted to kill him.
However, Di Roy was stopped by Rukia Kuchiki and Ichigo Kurosaki but when Ichigo attempted to attack Di Roy, Rukia stopped him and used an Artificial Soul to disengage her spirit from her body. Di Roy, who had grown impatient while Rukia explained how having Orihime heal her completely restored her spiritual power, attacked them both but was countered by Rukia.
Releasing her Zanpakutō, Rukia froze the ground beneath Di Roy's feet however before she could trap him he flew up into the air and boldly stated that sky was his true battleground. But before Di Roy could act any further his body was entombed in a circle of ice and shattered into pieces by the power of Sode no Shirayuki's First Dance.
Powers and Abilities
Cero (Manga Only)
Di Roy had the capability to use Cero and was seen charging one up to attack Rukia with after he removed the bandages over his left eye. However, he was killed by Rukia's Shikai before he ever had a chance to use it.
While he is capable of using Sonído, Di Roy is far slower than his fellow Arrancar as he was only able to catch Yasutora Sado off-guard with it.
A common trait among Arrancar is Hierro, a technique which shields the body with spiritual pressure. This technique allowed Di Roy to use the palm of his hand in the same manner as a blade.
