Plot Summary

While the magic council gets prepared to fire Etherion on the tower of heaven, Sho is running to Jellal.

Sho has Erza trapped in his card and he gets confront by Ikaruga of the assassin guild. At first, Sho believes he can defeat Ikaruga by himself, but he is easily defeated by Ikaruga.

Who will fall?

With Ikaruga's help, Erza cuts the spatial divide and frees herself. Although Ikaruga keeps on destroying Erza's armor, Erza takes drifts off in a flashback. Her flashback shows all the pain she has face and Erza believes she wears armor because she is weak. During the battle, Erza realizes her armor is useless and she changes into her normal fight robes with a sarashi plus two swords. As the two women charge each other with everything they got, Erza defeats Ikaruga.

Meanwhile, Simon wants Natsu to help Erza, but Natsu says no. Simon gets angry and tells Natsu that Erza cannot defeat Jellal because she still believes that she can save Jellal. Jellal will take advantage of Erza's kindness and these words persuades Natsu to take action.

For Happy and the others, they escape by taking a boat.

• Ikaruga is alive in the anime, but her death is ambiguous in the manga.
