Demon King Daimao

Overview

This franchise is based off a series of light novels written by Shotaro Mizuki and illustrated by Souichi Ito and published by Hobby Japan. It is also made up of a Manga series written by Shotaro Mizuki and illustrated Souichi Ito and an anime series written by Takao Yoshioka.

Plot

This story follows Akito Sai a young man who dreams of entering the clergy and be able to do for others, only on the day of his aptitude test he is told he will become Demon King. This brings fear and resentment out of the other students at the Constan Magical Acadamy. As he works through the idea that he is suppose to be Demon King even though he truly doesn't want the title or all the trouble that comes with it. With the help of his friends Korone, Junko Hattori, Kena Soga, Hiroshi Miwa, Peter Hausen, and many others whom he meets along the way to realizing his future.

Characters

	Akuto Sai (紗伊阿九斗) Voiced by: Daisuke Ono (Drama CD), Takashi Kondo Kaori Akashi (child) , Chris Patton
	Akuto Sai is a kind person who always tries to do the right thing. Even though he was told he will be Demon King he fights against it only wanting to do good for society. He has awesome power and often tries to hold himself back in the anime to prove he isn't the Demon King.
	Junko Hattori (服部絢子) Voiced by: Ryoko Shiraishi (Drama CD), Yōko Hikasa Luci Christian
	Junko Hattori is a disciple of the god Suhara and a member of the Iga Ninja Clan. Although friends she often takes Akuto's actions and motives the wrong way normally yelling at him or trying to attack him. She vows to destroy him for good if he realizes his destiny by becoming Demon King and endangering the world.
	Kena Soga (曽我けーな) Voiced by: Mai Nakahara (Drama CD), Aki Toyosaki , Melissa Davis
	Kena Soga is a flighty girl who can make herself disappear as well as fly. Due to a childhood kindness she feels Akuto is special to her and tries to protect him even from Junko. Her invisibility which doesn't work on her clothes allows her to go about unnoticed so she often has information no one else has.
	Korone (ころね) Voiced by: Minori Chihara (Drama CD), Aoi Yūki Maggie Flecknoe
	Korone is a race of android and surveillance agent sent by the government to observe Akuto 24/7. While she doesn't show much emotion normally she does like to tease Akuto about being a pervert and often tries out other people expressions and tones of voice.
	Hiroshi Miwa (三輪寛) Voiced by: Yūta Kasuya (Drama CD), Tsubasa Yonaga Greg Ayres
	Hiroshi Miwa often bullied by other students calling Akuto his big brother. He sometimes really believes Akuto is evil though he still follows him. He is later revealed to be the legendary hero Brave and is giving an AI suit to fight with. After saving Yuko Hattori she gives him a kiss.
	Fujiko Eto (江藤不二子) Voiced by: Yuki Makishima (1st Drama CD), Ayahi Takagaki (2nd Drama CD), Shizuka Itō , Shelley Calene-Black, Margaret Fawcett (Child)
	Fujiko Eto is the head of the girl's dorms at Constant Academy, and one of the few people early in the series who sympathizes with Akuto and his situation while at the same time as planning for Akuto to be hers.

Antagonists

	Eiko Teruya (照屋栄子) Voiced by: Satomi Satō (Drama CD), Haruka Tomatsu , Stephanie Wittels (English)
	Eiko Teruya is a member of a rival Koga Ninja Clan she pops in and out being sly and mysterious only to pop back out. She leads the allliance of clans against the demon beasts. There are rumours that she killed her own father.
	Boichiro Yamato (大和望一郎) Voiced by: Tarusuke Shingaki Leraldo Anzaldua
	Boichiro Yamato is a leader in the Cabinet Intelligence Magic Office and somehow connected to the previous Demon King his weapon of choice is a sword pared with the ability to teleport.
	Mr. X (ミスター) Voiced by: Haruo Satō Jovan Jackson
	Mr. X a member of CIMO8 who is extremely perverted. He has a cape that can hide magical abilities.
