Dekim Barton

Once one of Heero Yuy's (the politician, not the Gundam pilot) top aides, Dekim was present when Yuy was assassinated. Even after Odin Lowe, the man who assassinated Yuy, was killed, he still wanted revenge on the people who planned it. With the years of oppression and tyranny the colonies had suffered under the Earth Sphere Alliance's rule, and knowing it was them who orchestrated Yuy's assassination, Dekim planned to destroy the Alliance and take over the world on behalf of the space colonies. The plan was called Operation Meteor, and to get his plan underway, he located the five engineers who had created the original Leo prototype (also known as the Tallgeese) and hired them to create the Gundams to use in his plan. When Operation Meteor was nearing it's time of execution however, the engineers and their pilots decided to break off from his plan and instead fight for the colonies in their own way. Furious at the betrayal, he began working on a new version of Operation Meteor utilizing the MMS-01 Serpent mobile suits left behind by OZ after the war. He then convinced Marimeia Khushrenada, Treize's secret daughter with Leia Barton (Dekim's daughter), that Treize wanted her as the rightful ruler of the world. By using her and her connection to Treize, he was able to get many former soldiers of OZ to follow him and help in his plan. On Christmas Eve in AC 196, the revised Operation Meteor commenced, but thanks to the efforts of the Gundam pilots and to some degree the common populace themselves, his plan was thwarted before it could be finished. As his dream was crumbling before him, he attempted to kill Relena Darlian, but instead was shot in the head by one of his own soldiers.
