Anti-Hero

A kind of Hero who has rather questionable methods and motives. He may have good goals but does evil things for it or being totally selfish but saves the day somehow.

Arrogant

The character is head over heels of him -or herself. He/she might be the best(or not) , but usually the laziest to act and always underestimates the enemies. Rather popular concept for villains and rivals.

Breaking Point

When a character finally snaps, usually a high strung character whose plan has completely failed. Sometimes it causes them to change personality permanently, and other times they just collapse under the madness.

Brother and Sister

A male and a female member of a family that share the same parents.

Childhood Friend

The character has known the protagonist for a long time, typically all his/her life. If he/she's from the opposite gender there's a high chance he/she has a crush on the main character.

Detective

A Detective is one who works to solve crimes and mysteries of the world using not brawn, but their minds. These can be part of law enforcement or freelance.

Engagement

An engagement is a promise to marriage.

Episode Recap

Basically a short summary of past events told in one episode.

False Friends

Translation problems between two languages or cultures.

Filler

Additional content added to an adaptation, usually to avoid catching up to the source material too quickly.

Flashback

Used frequently in Anime to either recap past events or provide a back story for a character, either their origin story or their off-screen training of new attack. Sometime and entire episode/chapter would be a entire flashback.

Ghosts

A ghost is a dead persons spirit that roams the earth usually attached to where they died or refusing to go to the after life until there are finished on earth.

Kidnapping

Capturing and carrying away a person against their will and holding them in false imprisonment .

Kissing

Kissing is the act of pressing your lips to the body of another person. This can be on the cheeks, head, hand, but more commonly to another person's lips.

Suicide is the act of taking ones own life through various means.

Someone who has cheated on their significant other. This apply when someone is unfaithful to his loved one, girlfriend, wife by either dating another girl or woman and having sex behind the back of his significant other which either goes unnoticed or be discovered and end up very bad.

Unrequited love

A passion or romance for a person where these feelings are not returned by the object of affection. A one-sided love.

The villain of the story.
